1 cup butter -- softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 package (3.4-ounce size) instant vanilla pudding and pie filling
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups flour
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup malted milk balls -- chopped
3/4 cup english toffee bits or almond brickle chips

2. Cream the butter and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add pudding mix and vanilla. Combine the flour, oats, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture. Fold in the malted milk balls and the toffee bits. The dough will be stiff.
3. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks.
