Toffee Crunch Cake-Mix Cookies

One of our favorite friends Tessie brought us a batch of these, and shared the recipe, that she and her husband call Aunt Pearline's Chewies , although they are really quite crunchy, and utterly delicious with a cold glass of milk!
Ingredients:
1 (18 ounce) box yellow butter-recipe cake mix
1 (8 ounce) package chocolate english toffee bits
2/3 cup canola oil
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup pecans, finely chopped
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Mix all ingredients well, and put by tablespoons on parchment-covered baking sheet. Press each cookie lightly with fork, Bake for about 15 minutes, until lightly browned around edges. Remove to wire cooling rack.
