Thumb Buddy Loves These Cookies |

Thumbs up for these good cookies that can be filled with your favorite jam. Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 egg yolks, beaten |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/2 cups flour |
pinch of salt |
1/4 cup raspberry of apricot jam |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar
2. Add egg yolks and vanilla and beat well.
3. Mix in flour and salt
4. Form into balls just big enough to hold thumbprint.
5. Place on ungreased cookie sheet 1 1/2 apart
6. Press thumb into center of each cookie to make indentation.
7. Fill indentation with dab (about 1/4 teaspoon) of jam.
8. Bake at 350 degrees F for abuot 15 minutes.
9. They should still be pale when baked.
10. Makes about 40 cookies
