Got this from a marlboro chili book and we love this. It's a little hot for me, since I don't like my nose running while I eat so use lots of sour cream to cool it off for me, but if you like hot chili here you go. Read more . Ingredients:
1/2 cup corn or veg. oil
1 very large or 2 med. white or yellow onion, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 yellow bell pepper, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1/3 cup parsely, chopped
2 pounds boneless,skinless chicken breasts, cut into1/2 pieces
1/8 cup of chili powder
1/2 tablespoon of salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
1/2 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon brown sugar
10-12 cloves fo fresh garlic, curshed
12 oz pork chorizo
2(15.8 oz)cans chili beans, drained
2(15.8 oz) cans black beans, drained
1 (28 oz) can whole tomatoes
1 (29 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (14.5 oz) can stewed tomatoes
1 package of flour tortillas(optional)
shredded cheader cheese (optional)
sour cream (optional)
Directions:
1. **All ingredients should be cut and ready before cooking***
2. In a large pot on med. heat add the first 12 items
3. Stir and let mixture cook for about 10 minutes, continuing to stir occasionally.
4. Add garlic,chorizo, chili beans, black beans
5. Continue to cook and stir
6. Add whole tomatoes, tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes
7. Continue to cook on med. heat, stirring for about 30 min. or so until whole tomatoes get soggy.
8. Serve in bowls with sour cream and cheese, or on warmed tortillas
9. Enjoy!!!!!
