This started as a basic artichoke dip,in which I just started adding things I had in the kitchen cabinets. Most ingredients are optional, so make it to your taste. But, I must say this is the best version I have ever made! Read more !!! Serve with crackers, bread, baguette or chips. Enjoy!!
Ingredients:
1 can(14 oz) artichoke hearts in water, i used reese's
1 can(7.75 oz) heart of palm in water, i used reese's
1 med onion, chopped, i used a sweet onion
1/4 cup sun-dried tomato, chopped
1 cup mayonnaise, i used light hellmann's mayo
3/4 cup parmesan cheese, dry powder kind
1/2 cup swiss cheese, shredded
garlic powder, to taste-can use a clove of chopped fresh garlic
cracked black pepper, to taste
*the dry cheese keeps it from becoming to oily.
Directions:
1. 1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. 2. Chop artichoke hearts.
3. 3. Slice heart of palm into rounds. If really large, split down the middle.
4. 4, Add all artichoke hearts, Hearts of palm, chopped onion and sundried tomatoes to a bowl. Mix well.
5. 5. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well again.
6. 6. Fold into pan. You can use a small or large pan, it depends on how thick you want your dip to be. I like a larger pan because it makes more servings.
7. 7. Bake at 350 degrees until and bubbly, and brown on top. About 25 minutes.
