OMG!! This recipe ROCKS!! This recipe comes from Better Homes & Garden 11/08. Think you don't like brussel sprouts, Once you make it you'll be hooked!!
Ingredients:
4 slices bacon (peppered)
2 lbs. brussels sprouts, trimmed & halved (frozen works too)
3/4 cups chicken broth
1/2 t kosher salt
1/4 t pepper
3/4 cup heavy cream
cracked black pepper
Directions:
1. In 12-inch skillet cook bacon over med heat until crisp. Drain bacon on paper towels & reserve 2 T dripins in skillet.
2. In skillet add Brussels sprouts to drippings, cook & stir over med heat 4 min. Add broth, salt, & pepper. Heat to boiling. Reduce & simmer, covered 5 min. Uncover: cook 2 to 4 min or until liquid nearly evaporates. Add cream. Cook 4 min more or unitl thickened.
3. Transfer sprouts to serving dish. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon & cracked pepper.
