The Bacon Cheeseburger

The crowning glory of The Bacon Cheeseburger is, of course, two slices of crisply cooked bacon.
Ingredients:
1 recipe basic burger
16 thin slices bacon (about 12 oz.)
8 slices american cheese
16 pickle slices, drained
asian mayo
pesto mayo
spicy ketchup
ranch ol
the baconator
Directions:
1. Prepare burgers as recipe directs and keep patties refrigerated until ready to cook.
2. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until crisp, 10 to 12 minutes, working in batches if necessary. Drain on paper towels.
3. Grill or broil burgers as recipe directs. Top with cheese during last minute of cooking time. Transfer each burger to a bun, top with bacon and pickles and serve immediately with assorted toppings, if desired.
