Yummie and moist, travels well, keeps well and I never bring home any.. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
bring to a boil 1 c. water, 2 sticks margarine (not country crock or spread.. far to much water...) can use butter flavor crisco
4t. cocoa
1tsp. vanilla..
pour this over
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tbs. cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda..
mix well then add
2 eggs beaten
1/2 c. buttermilk. if you don't have buttermilk, put 1 tbs vinegar in 1/2 cup measure fill with milk let set ill gets chunky.. this is sour milk..
mix and bake 375 degrees for 20 to 25 min in a greased cookie sheet with sides
icing.
boil
4t. cocoa
6t. milk
1 stick margarine or butter crisco....
1tsp.vanilla.
add one box or so of confectioners - powdered sugar
add 1 1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts or pecans. optional.. but good if you have them
ice while cake is still warm.
cut in squares..
