Tex Mex Meatball Soup

This is a soup I came up with a while ago, but just couldn't think of a name. Even the kids like it.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of olive oil
large can of crushed tomatoes
small chopped onion
cup of chopped peppers ( i used the precut frozen red and green mix)
6-8 cups of water depending on how thick you like your soup
1 lb of lean ground beef
2 packets of taco seasoning
1 teaspoon of garlic salt- or more/less to your taste
1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
cup of uncooked brown rice
shredded chedder cheese
Directions:
1. In a large pot add oil and onion to saute
2. add in crushed tomatoes
3. add in water, 1 packet of taco seasoning, garlic salt and pepper
4. bring to a boil
5. while soup is at a slow boil make small meatballswith ground beef and the other packet of taco seasoning then slowly add the raw meatballs into the boiling soup.
6. reduce heat and cook for about 10-15 minutes
7. add in rice and stir occationally
8. serve when rice is cooked.
9. If you like your soup a little hot add some crushed red pepper flakes
10. pour soup in bowls and top with cheese.
