Tex-Mex Chicken Soup

The best tortilla soup ever. And simple to make. 30 minutes of simmering is included in time.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 garlic cloves
1 tablespoon oil
4 cups chicken broth
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 teaspoons ground cumin
3 cups cubed cooked chicken
3 medium zucchini, sliced
1 (14 ounce) can tomatoes, with liquid
1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
1/2 cup salsa
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon pepper
Directions:
1. In a 4 quart soup kettle saute onion, garlic, in oil until tender.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil.
3. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
4. Top individual servings with cheese and serve with tortilla chips or strips.
