You don'tneed to drive all the way to the Sonic Drive-In for these!
Ingredients:
8 medium potatoes, peeled
4 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 dash pepper
1 ts
veg oil for frying
Directions:
1. Finely shred potatoes, then drain by placing them in a colander and pressing out the liquid.
2. Pour potatoes into a med sized bowl.
3. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper.
4. Heat 1/4 oil in heavy pan., or use deep fryer set at 350F.
5. Form into tots and carefully drop into oil.
6. Fry until slightly golden.
7. Drain on paper towels.
8. Serve hot or freeze for later use in tater tot casserole.
9. *To reduce fat, bake in single layer on a baking sheet at 400F until tots are crisp and golden.
