This recipe is so easy and so rich! I got it from my grandma, who keeps one in the freezer for when she has unexpected company. She can pull it out and slice a piece off without any thawing. Her recipe uses 1 (8 oz) Cool Whip, but I changed that. Prep time includes freezing time.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup creamy natural-style peanut butter
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup cold milk
8 ounces cold whipping cream
1 (9 inch) chocolate graham wafer pie crust
peanuts, chopped
Directions:
1. Using a hand blender, combine the peanut butter, cream cheese and butter in a large bowl.
2. Add the powdeed sugar and milk and mix well.
3. In a ceramic or glass bowl, with clean beaters, whip the cream on high until of Cool Whip type consistency (or use Cool Whip). Fold cream into the peanut butter mixture.
4. Spread mixture into the graham cracker crust and top with chopped peanuts or shaved chocolate, if desired.
5. Freeze for a couple hours. When ready to serve, remove and slice immediately.
