Ingredients:

  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1 (1 oz) package taco seasoning
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp oil

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Brown hamburg, add onions, water and taco seasoning.
  3. Simmer 25 minutes.
  4. Combine 1 cup flour, yeast, sugar, onion and salt, mix well.
  5. Add very warm water and oil to flour mix.
  6. Mix by hand with a spoon until almost smooth.
  7. Stir in chips and enough flour to make a stiff dough.
  8. Spread in pie plate and let rise 10 minutes.
  9. Spread meat over dough.
  10. Bake until edge is crisp and light golden brown.
  11. Sprinkle with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa or sour cream.
  12. This is easily doubled into a 9 X 13.
