Sweet Potato Pecan Pie

A luscious combination of two Southern favorites. The perfect Thanksgiving pie. Sweet potatoes and pecans make such a wonderful combination. This recipe comes from The Colony House in Charleston, SC.
Ingredients:
1 cup cooked, mashed sweet potato
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 t. heavy cream
1 t. butter
1 t. vanilla
1/4 t. salt
1 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. nutmeg
1 8 or 9 inch prebaked pie shell
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup dark corn syrup
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 t. melted butter
2 t. vanilla
pinch of salt
1/2 t. cinnamon
1 cup pecans, broken
Directions:
1. Combine first 9 ingredients and mix until well incorporated. Pour into pieshell.
2. Combine all remaining ingredients and pour over filling in pie shell.
3. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes or until filling is set.
