Sweet Onion-bacon Baby Carrots

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In large skillet, cook onions in oil over medium heat until golden brown, not crunchy, stir frequently.
  2. In a large bowl, combine onions, carrots, salt and pepper. Toss to combine.
  3. Transfer to a greased shallow 3 qt. baking dish. Cover and bake at 400 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until tender.
  4. When done, stir in syrup and butter, coat well. Sprinkle with french-fried onions and bacon.
  5. Bake, uncovered, 5 minutes longer or until french-fried onions are browned.
  6. Garnish with green onions. Serve hot.
