Sweet Lentil-pumpkin Pudding

This is a great, nutritious, low-allergen first food for babies when they're starting solids - as they grow up you can ease up on the texture a bit if you want it a little less smooth. Makes 5 3.75 fl oz servings
Ingredients:
1/4 cup raw red lentils
2/3 cup rice milk
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 cup well-cooked short-grain rice
1 large, over-ripe banana, broken into chunks
1/3 cup pure pumpkin puree
Directions:
1. Combine lentils, milk and cinnamon in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer.
2. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes.
3. Stir in rice and cook a further 10 minutes.
4. Remove from heat and transfer to a blender.
5. Add banana and pumpkin puree and process until very smooth.
