This is my old stand-by.
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup sour cream
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup softened butter
Directions:
1. In a bowl. combine the dry ingredients.
2. In another bowl, combine the egg, sour cream, milk and butter; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
3. Pour into a greased 8 square baking pan.
4. Bake at 400F for 20-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Serve warm.
