Sweet And Sour Meatballs

Bring out a zing in your sweet and sour meatballs. Great as an appetizer or a main dish. Easy to take in crock-pot to your next pot luck dinner.
Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup soft bread crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tbs. minced onions
2 tbs. milk
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp.salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tbs. vegetable oil
2/3 cup chili sauce
2/3 cup grape jelly
Directions:
1. Combine first eight ingredients; form into 40 bite-sized meatballs.
2. Brown meatballs lightly in oil on medium heat.
3. Cover and cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
4. Drain excess fat.
5. In a bowl combine chili sauce and jelly; pour over meatballs.
6. Heat stirring occasionally, until jelly is melted. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until sauce has thickened, basting occasionally.
7. Makes 40 meatballs.
