Sweet and Sour Cabbage

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb bacon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 small onion, diced

Directions:

  1. Add shredded cabbage to boiling water, cover and boil about 15 minutes until crisp tender, drain.
  2. Fry bacon until crisp, crumble and reserve 1 tbsp drippings.
  3. Stir in brown sugar, water, salt pepper and onion.
  4. Cook until thick, add to cabbage and stir in bacon.
