A light easy to make cake to enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee. Also good for packed lunches.
Ingredients:
8 ounces sultanas
8 ounces butter
3 eggs
12 ounces flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
12 ounces sugar
Directions:
1. Boil sultanas in a little water for 5 minutes then drain.
2. Melt butter and add to sultanas.
3. Beat eggs together and add to sultanas.
4. Add dry ingredients and mix well.
5. Place in 10 tin which has been lined with baking paper or greaseproof paper.
6. Bake at 300'F for 70 minutes.
7. Remove from oven and cool in tin for 10 minutes before removing to a rack to finish cooling.
