For any one that is weight-watching, this is the best bar to have on hand for those times when you have those hunger pangs but it's not time to eat yet, great for the kids for their lunch bags too!!
Ingredients:
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup margarine
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup flour
1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 tablespoon sugar substitute
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. In a saucepan over medium heat, cook raisins, water, margarine, cinnamon, nutmeg until margarine is melted, Continue cooking for 3 minutes.
2. Stir together all remaining ingredients ending with flour. Add to raisin mixture until well blended.
3. Spread in a 8-inch square baking dish that has been sprayed with Pam.
4. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
