French bread topped with Genoa salami, roast beef, ham, tomatoes, onion and bell pepper. Topped with swiss cheese and a creamy Italian dressing. Please note that there are 2 different choices for this sub, either works great!
Ingredients:
1 loaf french bread, cut horizontally lengthwise
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, softened
4 ounces swiss cheese, sliced
1/2 lb genoa salami, sliced
2 cups shredded lettuce
2 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1/2 lb cooked ham, thinly sliced
1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/4 cup creamy italian dressing
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sour cream
1/4 teaspoon prepared hot mustard
1/4 teaspoon prepared horseradish
1/2 teaspoon minced onion
1/2 teaspoon minced scallion
1/4-1/2 teaspoon fresh dill
Directions:
1. Special Sauce:.
2. Add mayonnaise, sour cream, prepared hot mustard, prepared horseradish, minced scallions, chopped fresh dill to bowl. Mix well.
3. Assemble Sandwich:.
4. 1. Spread sauce on cut sides of bread slices.
5. 2. Layer ham, roast beef, Genoa salami, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle slices, sliced onion, pepperoncini on one bread slice. Top with remaining slice. Secure with toothpicks.
