Stumps Fruit Cobbler

A delicious way to get your fruit for the day! Another treat from grandma!!
Ingredients:
3c fresh fruit(mixed)
2/3c+2t sugar
1c+2t flour
1/2tsp cinnamon
1/4tsp nutmeg
1/3c+2t butter
lemon juice(2 quarters squeezed)
1 1/2tsp baking powder
1/2tsp salt
3t milk
1 egg
Directions:
1. Sprinkle cut fruit with mixture of: 2/3c sugar, 2T flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
2. Dot wth 2T butter and squeeze lemon over mix.
3. Sift together:1c flour, 2T sugar, baking powder, and salt.
4. Add: 1/3c butter, milk, and egg.
5. Stir with fork until well blended.
6. Drop by spoonfulls over fruit.
7. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes in 9 x 9 x 1 3/4 inch pan.
8. Serve warm with whipped cream, ice cream, or alone!!
