3/4 cup softened cream cheese |
1/2 cup orange marmalade |
2 tbs honey |
5 eggs |
1 cup fresh orange juice |
12 slices slightly frozen thick bread, such as pepperidge farm sweet buttermilk bread |
confections sugar to garnish and fresh orange slices. |
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, marmalade and honey and gently stir until just combined. In a shallow, medium bowl, whisk together eggs and orange juice. 2. Spread each slice of bread with cream cheese mixture and top with another slice of bread. Dip the sandwiches into to egg mixture and place in a large, lightly buttered frying pan. Cook until browned on both sides. Cut into triangles and sprinkle with confectioners sugar. Serve immediately with orange slices. Serves 6 people. |
