Stuffed Bell Peppers

This is a stuffed pepper recipe that I have used for years. My whole family loves it!
Ingredients:
6 medium green peppers
1 lb ground beef
1/3 cup onion, chopped
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
3/4 cup minute rice, cooked
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper
1 cup shredded cheese (i use colby & monterey jack)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F
2. Cut off tops of green peppers; remove seeds and membrane. Precook green peppers cups in boiling salted water, about 5 minutes. Drain; sprinkle inside with salt.
3. Brown meat and onions. Add tomatoes, rice, Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Cover and simmer until rice is almost tender, about 5 minutes.
4. Add 1/2 cup cheese.
5. Stuff peppers and stand upright in 10 x 6 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
6. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 25 minutes or until hot.
