Streusel Topped Apple Custard Pie

This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Marcus Estate in Greenville, Texas in 1994.
Ingredients:
9 unbaked pastry shell
4 cups pared and sliced apples
2 eggs
14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup butter melted
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3 tablespoons chopped nuts
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 then arrange apple slices in pastry shell.
2. Beat eggs then stir in condensed milk, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg and mix well.
3. Pour over apple slices.
4. In small bowl combine nuts and sugar then sprinkle over pie.
5. Place in bottom third of oven then bake 10 minutes.
6. Reduce oven temperature to 375 then continue baking 40 minutes and cool before cutting.
