Strawberry Thin Mint Pie

This combines a thin mint crust with strawberry jam, cool whip and cream cheese. It was one of the winners in the best pie in America contest. Recipe is by Raine Gottess. This is a cool refreshment on a hot summer day.
Ingredients:
50 chocolate and mint cookies
5 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon sugar
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 ounces strawberry cool whip
1 cup smuckers strawberry jam
8 ounces strawberry cream cheese
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
8 ounces cool whip
Directions:
1. For the crust: Crush cookies fine, add sugar and butter until moist.
2. Press with the back of a spoon into a 10' deep dish pie pan and shape.
3. Freeze.
4. Layer One: In a mixer beat cream cheese, vanilla and milk.
5. Add powdered sugar and Cool Whip.
6. Spread 1/2 of the batter over the cookie crust and freeze 10 minutes.
7. Filling: Spread strawberry jam over Layer One.
8. Freeze.
9. Layer Two: In a mixing bowl beat cream cheese, milk and vanilla.
10. Add powdered sugar and Creamy Cool Whip.
11. Add remaining batter from Layer One and mix well.
12. Spread over filling.
13. Top with strawberries and strawberry cool whip.
14. Refrigerate overnight to firm.
