Strawberry Pretzel Bars

OOOh yummy! Always a hit with kids and adults. There's always room for Jell-O! To crush the pretzels, put them in a ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin.
Ingredients:
2 cups crushed pretzels
2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (12 ounce) container cool whip topping
1 (6 ounce) package strawberry jell-o gelatin dessert
1 (10 ounce) package frozen sliced strawberries, thawed
Directions:
1. preheat oven to 375 farenheit.
2. in a lrg. bowl, mix pretzels, sugar, and butter. spread mixture in a greased 9 x13 baking dish and bake for ten minutes.
3. set aside and let cool.
4. in a med. bowl, blend cream cheese and Cool Whip til smooth.
5. spread over pretzel base evenly.
6. in a lrg. bowl, prepare Jell-O as directed on box, EXCEPT use 1/2 cup LESS water than advised.
7. add strawberries to Jell-O, stir until mixture slightly thickens.
8. pour Jell-O mixture over cream cheese layer.
9. refrigerate til firm (usually around 3 hrs.).
10. cut into bars, serve, and enjoy!
