In the summertime with fresh strawberries everywhere, how could you not make this bread?
Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/4 cups oil
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon strawberry extract
2 1/2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries-chopped(if using frozen, thaw first)

1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon strawberry extract
Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda,salt, and cinnamon. Add sugar and stir to combine.
2. Make a well in center.
3. Combine oil, extracts, eggs,and strawberries. Add to dry ingredients and stir until well mixed.
4. Pour batter into two well greased 9 x 5 loaf pans and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until loaves test done.
5. Cool 10 minutes in pans then turn out onto wire rack.

7. Combine ingredients and stir until smooth. Pour over warm loaves.
8. Serve warm or cooled.
9. Suggestions:
10. Nut lovers may add 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts to batter before baking.
11. Substitute 1 cup strawberries for two medium mashed ripe bananas for strawberry banana bread.
