STIR FRIED BROCCOLI RED ONION AND RED PEPPER This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Whitcomb Estate in Richardson Texas in 1994.
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 head broccoli cut into florets
1/2 red onion thinly sliced
1 red bell pepper sliced
2 tablespoons fresh basil
1 tablespoon fresh oregano
Directions:
1. In large skillet over medium high heat add oil and butter.
2. Add broccoli and toss to coat with oil and butter then cook 8 minutes.
3. Add onion slices then cook tossing with broccoli for 5 minutes.
4. Add red pepper and continue cooking 2 minutes.
5. Toss basil and oregano with broccoli, onion and red pepper then serve immediately.
