My husband has been made this cake for his birthday for over 30 years. Ingredients:
1 (18 ounce) box yellow cake mix |
4 eggs |
3/4 cup sugar |
1/2 cup vegetable oil |
1 cup pumpkin |
1/4 cup cold water |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 (4 ounce) package cream cheese |
1/2 cup butter |
1 lb powdered sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients in a bowl in the order given and mix.
2. Bake 3 9 inch layers.
3. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.

5. Beat until desired consistency. May add a little milk for easier spreading.
