There's a reason they call that place Starbucks, it's because they charge a million bucks!! I wanted to make my own frappuccinos at home to lessen the sugar amount and the dent in my pocketbook! This recipe is based on the little individual bottles that they sell in stores which are 9.5 oz. You must use instant espresso powder for this because it is so finely ground that it will dissolve instantly! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 1/8 cups 2% low-fat milk (9.5 oz)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon instant espresso powder (i use medaglia d'oro brand)
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Directions:
1. Whisk everything together and enjoy chilled or on the rocks!
2. Optional: Sprinkle with a few chocolate vermicelli decorations or top with whipped cream.
3. If you would like the mocha or caramel flavors, just add a little chocolate sauce or caramel sauce to the mix when whisking.
