Fresh lime adds flair to this double potato dish. Serve the wedges as a side dish or on their own as a snack.
Ingredients:
2 medium sweet potatoes
2 medium baking potatoes
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
1 tablespoon grated lime zest
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground mace (optional)
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon salt
for the sauce
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a large baking sheet with foil.
2. Halve sweet potatoes lengthwise; cut halves into wedges. Peel baking potatoes, halve lengthwise and cut halves into wedges.
3. In a large skillet, melt butter; add lime zest, allspice, nutmeg, mace, red pepper flakes and salt. Toss potatoes in butter mixture. Arrange wedges in a single layer on prepared baking sheet. Bake until golden and tender, turning once, about 30 minutes.
4. For sauce, in a bowl, combine sour cream and lime juice. Serve potato wedges with sauce on the side.
