Spicy Fried Tofu

Spicy tofu dish
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs. firm tofu
1 tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. curry powder
1/2 tsp. coriander
1 cayenne pepper to taste
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp. low sodium soy sauce
1/4 c. freshly grated parmesan
Directions:
1. Drain tofu and cut into 1/2 cubes.
2. Heat oil in skillet (preferably non-stick) and saute tofu over high heat for 5 minutes.
3. Lower heat and add turmeric, stirring until uniformly distributed.
4. Add basil, thyme, cumin, curry powder, coriander and cayenne and stir.
5. Add garlic and soy sauce.
6. Saute until golden brown.
7. Add Parmesan cheese and saute 5 more minutes.
8. Serve in tacos, pita bread, sandwiches or just as is.
