Spicy Curried Chickpeas

Uses canned chick peas. this aromatic chickpeas recipe is delish. Fresh cilantro makes it even better. Also leave out ginger if you wish
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 onions, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons fresh ginger root, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
salt, to taste
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
2 (15-ounce) cans garbanzo beans (chickpeas)
1 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat, and fry onions until tender.
2. Stir in garlic, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, cumin, coriander, salt, cayenne and turmeric.
3. Cook for 1 minute over medium heat, stirring constantly.
4. Mix in garbanzo beans and their liquid.
5. Continue to cook and stir until all ingredients are well-blended and heated through.
6. Remove from heat.
7. Stir in cilantro just before serving.
