Spicy Black Bean Burgers

Tired of the same old veggie sandwich choices?These are very filling,add sliced avocado,tomato and lettuce on a roll and you have a great meal.
Ingredients:
1 15 oz can black beans,rinsed & drained
1/3 cup chopped red onion
1 jalapeno,seed & deribbed(white inner) minced
1/4 cup bread crumbs or cracker meal.(i prefer cracker meal)
2 tblsp.chunky salsa
1 tsp.ground cumin
vegetable oil
Directions:
1. Mash beans in medium bowl with fork.Add onion,breadcrumbs,salsa,cumin,jalapeno.Season with salt and pepper.Using moistened hands,shape bean mixture into 2 patties.
2. Saute in oil,( appx.2 tblsp.oil) for 4 minutes on each side.
3. Serve warm.
4. Can be made ahead and sauteed later,this give flavors a chance to meld.
