Spicy Asian Carrot Ginger Soup

This is a fast, easy Asian soup that can be eaten as a side or main dish.
Ingredients:
1.5 liter water
2 carrots(grated)
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 zucchini (grated)
4 mushrooms (champinion/button) thinly sliced
200ml (1cup) soy sauce
half a chicken stock cube
2 small dried chillies (crushed/chopped)
1 egg (optional)
Directions:
1. Bring the saucepan of water to the boil
2. Add all ingredients(except egg) and simmer for 5 min
3. while stirring, dribble in egg.
4. Serve
