Spicy Apple and Oat Slice

Serve cold with morning tea or warm with ice-cream for dessert. Pie apricots or peachese can also be used.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups plain flour
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup coconut
1 teaspoon cinnamon
185 g butter, melted
1 (400 g) can pie apples
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to moderate.
2. Grease a shallow 30cm x 20cm tin.
3. Place flour, oats, sugar,coconut and cinnamon in a large bowl.
4. Stir to combine.
5. Make a well in the centre and pour in melted butter.
6. Mix with a wooden spoon until all ingredients are well blended.
7. Firmly press two-thirds of mixture into base of tin.
8. Place the pie apple on top and flatten with a spatula and sprinkle with extra cinnamon.
9. Sprinkle remainder of mixture over top of apple and press down lightly.
10. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden.
11. Cool and cut into fingers.
