Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs (room temp.)
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp.each ground cardamon,& nutmeg
1 cup raisins
1 cup buttermilk
Directions:
1. cream butter & sugar until light. Add eggs & beat until fluffy
2. Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cardamon,& nutmeg
3. Sprinkle 1 Tbsp.of flour mixture over the raisins mixing well (set aside)
4. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk to butter & sugar mixture
5. beat until fluffy
6. Stir in raisins & mix until evenly blended
7. Turn into a 6-cup capacity well-greased tube cake pan,(8-10 dia.)
8. Bake 350 for 55-60 min.or until the center of cake tests done
