Ingredients:
1 lb seedless grapes
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 cinnamon stick
2 star anise
5 whole cloves
12 black peppercorns
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients except grapes in a small saucepan and boil for two to three minutes.
2. Pierce each grape two to three times with a sharp skewer or toothpick.
3. Place grapes in a small bowl and cover with the syrup mixture.
4. Refrigerate for 24 to 36 hours.
5. Serve with cheese or nuts.
