Spice It up Marinade or Sauce

We like this very spicy sauce over green beans but think it may be good over other types of veggies also. Ripped this out of a magazine way back when. The magazine recommended marinating shrimp fallowed by grilling with chopped veggies.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 teaspoons garam masala
2 teaspoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons turmeric
1 teaspoon honey
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon sambal oelek chili paste
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon gingerroot, peeled and grated
2 tablespoons oil
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients.
2. *Using as a sauce toss with very hot veggies in a hot pan for about 30 seconds.
3. **Using as a marinade toss with shelled and de-veined shrimp. Turn to coat, marinate for a couple of hours. Grill with chopped veggies.
