Speckkartoffel (Potatoes With Bacon)

This is a very tasty sidedish of German origin. Not low in fat but oh so good!
Ingredients:
6 ounces smoked bacon, finely cubed
1 large onion, finely cubed
1 1/4 lbs cooked potatoes, peeled and cut into medium slices
1 tablespoon butter
6 -7 tablespoons sour cream
salt
cracked pepper
Directions:
1. In a skillet, melt the lard and briefly fry the onions and bacon.
2. Add the sliced potatoes and saute until golden brown.
3. Add salt and pepper to taste, and gently stir in the sour cream.
4. Serves 4.
