I got this recipe when I was watching the cooking show called Let's Cook Together on 3ABN tv channel. It is healthy and very easy to make. Thought some of you out there might llike it too. Even if your aren't a vegetarian (and I am not totally either) it is good recipe and tastes good. I added the green pepper, celery and green chilies to the recipe as my family likes those things in pretty much anything I cook. But if you don't like any or all of them, you can omit them because they weren't in the original recipe. Prep time did not include cooking the brown rice beforehand.
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked brown rice
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/2 large tomato, chopped
1 green onion, chopped
1 tablespoon unfermented soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon olive oil
2 teaspoons nutritional yeast flakes (also known as brewer's yeast)
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
2 celery ribs, sliced
3 tablespoons diced green chilies (mild)
Directions:
1. saute gree pepper and celery in small amount of vegetable broth or water until soft. Then, mix everything together and place in a 9 inch pie plate. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes.
