1/4 cup shortening
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons nutmeg
3 1/2 cups flour
24 currants or 24 raisins
1 egg, beaten
24 jelly beans
Directions:
1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
2. Add eggs, shortening, sugar, salt, nutmeg and 1 3/4 c flour and beat 2 minutes on medium speed, scraping bowl frequently.
3. Mix enough remaining flour to make dough smooth, scraping sides well.
4. Cover and let rise in warm place until double (about 45 minutes).
5. Punch down dough and turn onto lightly floured board.

10. Let rise again until double (about 45 minutes)
11. Heat oven to 350.
12. Brush rolls lightly with beaten egg.
13. Bake 15 minutes or until golden.
14. For antenna: Insert toothpick for antenna and top with a jelly bean.
