Soyu Chicken Hawaiian Style

This recipe came from a coworker's mom who lives in Hawaii. It is easy to make and goes well with white rice. Aloha.
Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
1 cup soy sauce
3 green onions, chopped
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 lb chicken parts
Directions:
1. Combine all the ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil. Simmer about 30 minutes.
