Southwest Casserole Dip

An interesting, yummy mexican casserole. I serve this with tortilla chips, extra cheese and sour cream for my husband. This is one of the only dishes that I can make and we can both eat it. Since I have to stay away from dairy and gluten. I love this one!
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef, cooked
1/2 cup salsa
1/2 cup taco sauce
1/2 cup chopped tomato
1/2 cup refried beans
10 drops hot sauce
1 teaspoon cumin
1 scallion, chopped
1 cup cornmeal
2 cups water
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
2 drops hot sauce
1 dash mexican seasoning
shredded cheese (optional)
sour cream (optional)
tortilla chips (optional)
Directions:
1. Saute chopped scallion.
2. add to cooked ground beef.
3. add remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes.
4. For base, combine all base ingredients & stir.
5. Microwave for 5 minutes.
6. Pour base into greased casserole dish.
7. Bake for 10 minutes.
8. Top with bean/beef mixture and bake another 20 minutes.
9. Serve onto bowls or plates and if desired, top individual servings with shredded cheese and sour cream. Place tortilla chips around the dish.
