Southern-style Bread Pudding With Rum Sauce

I will have this Easter Sunday with my ham and asparagus, macaroni salad and rolls and cornbread with a beautiful egg shaped cake decorated. I have never had the bread pudding before.
Ingredients:
1 egg, beaten
1-3/4 cups milk
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 box bruce's southern-style bread pudding mix
6 cups loosely packed french bread torn in 1 pieces.
rum sauce
1 tbsp. butter
1/3 cup sugar
2-1/2 tsp. cornstarch
3/4 cup milk
2 tbsp. white or dark rum
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350*F.
2. Combine egg, milk and butter in large mixing bowl.
3. Add bread pudding mix, blend well. Stir in bread pieces.
4. Pour into 8x8x2 baking dish.
5. Bake 50 minutes, until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
6. cut into individual portions and cover with rum sauce
7. Rum Sauce:
8. Melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat.
9. Mix together sugar and cornstarch, stir into butter.
10. Pour milk in pan cook stirring frequently until mixture begins to boil.
11. continue cooking until thick, stirring constantly.
12. Remove from heat, stir in rum. Serve warm over bread pudding.
