Southern baked cornbread. Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups yellow cornmeal |
3/4 tsp. baking powder |
1 tsp. salt |
1-1/3 cups buttermilk |
2 eggs |
1/4 cup melted crisco |
Directions:
1. Mix all dry ingredients and set aside. Beat eggs and add to buttermilk pour into cornmeal mixture and stir. Add shortening and beat again. Pour into hot greased heavy 10 skilet and baked at 450% for 25 to 30 mins. Or til done. |
