moms hillbilly cooking, great as a side dish with ham dinner.
Ingredients:
2 -3 lbs green beans
1 lb bacon
1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 cups vinegar
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup sugar
Directions:
1. Boil green beans until done.
2. Drain off water.
3. Brown bacon until crisp and crumble it.
4. Place it in grease.
5. add 1/2 cup of flour into the bacon and grease.
6. mix together until moist.
7. add 1 1/2 cup vinegar.
8. add 1/2 cup water.
9. add 1/3 cup sugar.
10. Taste to make sure it is seasoned right. You may have.
11. to add more vinegar or sugar.
12. Pour over the cooked green beans and enjoy.
