Sour Cream Coffee Cake

This delicious coffee cake is made and served to hundreds of people every year at the annual Stephenson County Ag Breakfast here in northern Illinois. I hope you like it!
Ingredients:
for cake
1 cup (2 sticks) softened real butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup dairy sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
streusel
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup white granulated sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Prepare 9 x 13-inch pan by spraying with nonstick cooking spray.
3. In large mixing bowl, mix softened butter and granulated sugar.
4. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat at medium speed until smooth with electric mixer.
5. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sour cream and beat until smooth.
6. Spread half of batter evenly into greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
7. In medium mixing bowl, combine 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup white sugar, 1 T. cinnamon, and nuts if desired.
8. Sprinkle half of this mixture onto batter already spread into pan.
9. Spread remaining half of batter onto this mixture.
10. Sprinkle remaining streusel mixture on top.
11. Bake in preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes until golden.
